The Partners Tony Russo, PhD, is Chairman and CEO. He has been a member of the life sciences community for 25 years. As a founder of Noonan Russo in 1988, he has helped build some of the signature brands in the life sciences arena. Before establishing his own agency, he was vice president and manager of corporate communications of the Science and Healthcare Division of Cameron Associates, a New York City-based public relations firm. Tony received an MA and a PhD from Columbia University and Claremont Graduate School respectively. He is an active member of the New York Biotech Association, The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the Public Relations Society of America, and the American Psychology Association. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Tony serves on the board of directors of the Greater New York Chapter of the March of Dimes as chairman of its Communications Committee, the editorial board of the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology and is a member of the National Association of Science Writers. He has published articles and chapters for numerous journals and books, and is the recipient of several awards, including the Philip Dorf Award for outstanding leadership in guiding and inspiring the careers of young public relations professionals. David Schull is President. He has more than 14 years of experience in providing corporate and marketing communications counsel to start-up, mid-market and Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare industry. With a diverse background in media relations, crisis management and journalism, David has managed highly successful programs, including product-launch initiatives and financial communications, for large pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, managed care organizations and healthcare providers. David’s work has enabled companies such as IVAX, Cordis, 3i, Aon Healthcare Insurance Services and Tenet Healthcare to positively shape stakeholders’ perceptions, drive sales and attract investors as well as business partners. Prior to joining the agency, David was the senior vice president of Thorp & Company, a Coral Gables, Fla.-based public relations firm. Over a nine-year period, he helped to transform a two-person shop into one of the largest independent agencies in the Southeast with dominant healthcare and technology practices. Earlier in his career, David worked with the Miami office of Burson-Marsteller, where he managed public relations programs for corporate clients, including Philip Morris. In addition, he was an account supervisor with a Florida marketing agency and a news announcer with an Indiana radio station. David holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law and bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Brad Prunty, Senior Vice President, is a veteran communications executive specializing in health care services, biotechnology and financial services. He has a substantial track record in helping launch and build new business entities. He is a strategic thinker with clear understanding of corporate and brand identity creation, communications strategy development and implementation. In recent years, Brad has worked as a private consultant providing services to start up and early stage life science companies. Earlier, he was COO and Managing Director for Noonan/Russo. As COO, Brad was responsible for establishing business strategy, building the management team, operations, business development and strategic partnerships. As corporate communications practice head, Brad was responsible for the creation and management of the corporate branding and positioning practice focused primarily on biotech startups, health care service, medical device, and health care technology companies in the business to business and investor environment. Brad has his masters from Harvard University and his bachelors from State University of New York, Stony Brook. Other members of the team include senior professionals with decades of experience in healthcare – experience that puts Russo Partners in a separate category from other consultants in the field. |
